Introducing Hillsboro Chiropractor Dr. Brian Rueben
“I remember like it was yesterday. I was hit with a dose of reality. You see, I was always the “athletic type” and football and baseball were my favorite sports. Like most kids, I thought nothing could go wrong, until I started having terrible hip pain. And that’s not all. I wasn’t able to play baseball anymore. The pain was really hurting my ability to run and play well at all. I was spending all of my time hurting, while my friends had their minds on practice and the next game. My coach told my parents, that until I could run without a limp, I was sitting out. I was frustrated. That’s when my parents took me to the new chiropractor in town that treated children as well as adults. After just a few adjustments, I was running without pain and back on the playing field! After completing my care I was much stronger and more flexible than before the injury. But there’s more.”
“I was diagnosed with irritable bowel syndrome as a young boy and had suffered with abdominal pain and discomfort as long as I had known life, and well, somehow, my bowel had started to function properly since I began receiving spinal adjustments! Suffice to say, my entire family have been regular chiropractic patients ever since.”
“I was so impressed with what chiropractic did for me and my family that I knew I would be involved with it the rest of my life. Little did I know, that as I grew older, chiropractic would be the career choice that has allowed me to help hundreds and hundreds of families just like my own. I feel truly blessed to be able to help families and individuals achieve optimum health and wellness. It is what I am called to do.”
Dr. Rueben studied human biology and nutrition at Cal State Fullerton and received his Doctorate from the Los Angeles College of Chiropractic. During his four years of study at the Los Angeles College of Chiropractic, courses included biochemistry and nutrition, a major emphasis on anatomy and human physiology; neurology, x-ray, chiropractic adjusting techniques and patient care in the Colleges many clinics.
He is a lecturer and an expert in current health and wellness trends who is constantly on the search for the most cutting-edge information to direct the best course of care for the people he serves and takes care of. He has personally coached thousands of people towards improving their lifestyle, overcoming debilitating conditions, and achieving optimal health.
“We offer a different way of thinking about life, healing and wellness, where our care is provided through an understanding and deep respect of the power that creates life.”
Dr. Rueben was born and raised in Southern California, and now lives on the west side of Portland with his wife Tania, son Jack and daughter Olivia. He has been in Chiropractic practice since 1993. He is a member of the International Chiropractic Association, the International Chiropractic Pediatric Association and the Oregon Doctors or Chiropractic. When not joyfully caring for his practice members, you might find him attending and serving at Rock Creek Community Church, sharing time with his family and friends, or enjoying a round of golf, or a day of hiking or skiing. Sports are a “healthy obsession” for him, although his wife may say otherwise.
Dr. Rueben is passionate and committed to health! He believes that wellness is a process, not a destination, and there is always room for better health! He knows that you don’t have to be sick to get well!
Dr. Rueben sees his chiropractor weekly to ensure his nervous system is clear and stress-free. He doesn’t take any medications, antibiotics or over-the-counter drugs. He loves to exercise and do just about anything that gets him outdoors in the beautiful Pacific Northwest. “Chiropractic philosophy and wellness care has transformed my health!” He exclaims. He lives by the A.D.I.O. principle that states: The Human body heals from Above, Down, Inside, Out.
